2013.11 Caicos Heritage House Exterior Works Initial Phase Complete

Phase One of Exterior Works for the Caicos Heritage House is now complete. The Caicos Heritage House occupies part of a 1-acre parcel adjacent to a 1.6 acre lot where the main Museum will be built. JAL Consultants Ltd. has been overseeing its construction since August 2012.

2013.09 Caicos Heritage House to advance Exterior Works

The Caicos Heritage House Project has received an anonymous donation earmarked for a replica Outdoor Kitchen, Entry Gate, a partial Perimeter Wall and Exterior Paving. North Caicos stone suppliers Kervin & Sons has won the contract to complete these items on a short timeline. Work has commenced on-site.

2013.09 Private Residence in Leeward receives BP

JAL has secured a Building Permit from the Department of Planning for the construction of a single family Residence with Anciliary Building and Dock in Leeward. The client, who is a local contractor, requested for JAL to deliver a shortened design and documentation timeline. This was achieved through a modified Scope of Work and increased collaboration with the client.

2013.09 Private Residence on Long Bay Beach achieves Substantial Completion

Principal Work has been completed on the Residence on Long Bay Beach. Though already offered for sale, the client and his family were on hand to make inspections and approve the finished product.

2013.08 GU-Med launches crowd-funding campaign

GU-MED, the Global University Schools of Medicine and Public Health, announced today the launch of its Crowd-funding campaign on indiegogo.com.

GU-MED is dedicated to solving the imminent shortage of primary care physicians in the US, making it easier for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to get their MDs, providing better health care in the Turks & Caicos and other Caribbean Islands, and supporting the economic development of the Caribbean in the process

2012.06 Private Residence in Long Bay achieves Substantial Completion

Principal Work has been completed on a small home for an International couple. Constructed by Projetech, The home features an open-plan configuration enjoying 270-degree ocean views from its hill-top location.

After wholly entrusting the construction to JAL and Projetech, the clients were on-hand to personally inspect the finished product and participate in the commissioning process. The pair were particularly enthused about the synchronous integration of interiors and exteriors.

Turks & Caicos Government Department of Planning has granted Detailed Development Permission to The Global University of Medicine and Public Health, allowing for detailed designs to be developed and submitted for Building Permit.

2013.03 Primary Work complete on Caicos Heritage House project.

Caicos Heritage House main structure is complete. The building features Thatch over North Caicos Timber Roof, Native stone accents, as well as traditionally framed and built-up windows and doors using ironmongery designed to replicate hardware traditionally sourced from UK and Bermuda during 19th and 20th Centuries.

Work will continue on giving the stone-and-plaster finish a patina to 'age' the building.
